"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." - John 1:14

John the Beloved speaks of the greatest mystery ever known: our eternal God becoming a mortal man.  Our majestic God wrapping Himself in human flesh.  Our humble God coming as a baby, as a servant, and a sacrifice.  Jesus left His realm of glory - for us.  Jesus took on the form of a bondservant - for us.  He laid His life down - for us.  Everything He did was for us.

One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple - Psalm 27:4.

The Onething Conference is coming up!  Held at Bartle Hall in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, from December 28th to the 31st, 20,000 gather together to worship Jesus and bring in the New Year.  The conference is geared toward young adults, but everyone is welcome. This year, IHOP - KC leadership Mike Bickle, Allen Hood, and Corey Russell will be there along with Misty Edwards, Laura Hackett Park,

“Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God… - Luke 18:15-17

Hannahs and Samuels started after a conversation Sheena (AHOP’s Director) and I had, about raising up children to chase after the heart of God as worshippers. Our first HandS was very small and we had about 4 kids. Nonetheless, it was awesome to see kids so interested in worship, and to see 3 and 5 year olds engaging, lifting their little hands and singing the songs they knew. I was surprised at their knowledge and understanding of God. But in order for children to cultivate hearts of worship, they need to know that the only One, True God, loves them and enjoys them, and that they are just as

“…Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.” 21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: “Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever.” 22 Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.” – 2 Chronicles 20:20-22

Worship shifts the spiritual climate.  Worship disarms the enemy.  Worship is the complete opposite of what the enemy wants us to do – panic in our uncertain circumstances and lose the battle.

“…Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.” – Matthew 6:9-10

On Wednesday, November 4th, AHOP celebrated with its first Worship Leader Training Program graduates, Mahriyanna Kersbergen and Heidi Hoye.  Mahriyanna has participated with AHOP since last year, and Heidi has been involved since 2013.  In September of this year, both of these extraordinary young women signed up for the Worship Leader Training Program (WLTP), an 8-week long class of teaching and hands-on training in the heart of worship, the basics of worship leading, and the Harp and Bowl Model.

WLTP was formed out of Revelation 4 and 5, as well as Matthew 6:9-10.  Revelation 4 and 5 give us the most detailed description of the Throne Room of God that can be found in the Bible.  Those chapters reveal what the Throne Room is like, how it operates, and most importantly,

Yesterday I got an email announcing that Dr. Ronnie Floyd will be speaking at the annual Onething conference in December. This information made my heart jump, feeling the impact and significance.

Dr. Floyd is the current President of the Southern Baptist Convention, but he is also a resident of northwest Arkansas, and long-time pastor of the largest church in the area, Cross Church.

People do change by meeting the Lord. And so does a community. When the people of a region gather together to pray and seek the Lord's will for their land, He will hear them.

"And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?" - Luke 18:7-8
